SACRED BLOODLINES

This is a photo project I’ve just started working on. I was fortunate enough to walk into Hoboken Body Art to get a tattoo moths back, and met Mano who turned out to be a great artist and really down to earth dude. When I came back for more work, he also introduced me to José who was kind enough to let me shoot him at work. There’s one more guys whose name I forgot, sorry. Their work is brilliant and they’ve have allowed me to realize something I wanted to do for a very long time: A type of photo essay or series in photos. These are some beginning shots I took to get acquainted with the space and them. I appreciate the freedom they’ve given me to work in any direction direction I chose. I want to focus not only in capturing the actual work that they do, which is brilliant, but I also want to capture their essence as people, and continue to explore lights and shadows. I was not gonna show these pics yet, but wanted post something they can see, since they told me other photographers have come by and never follow through on projects. lol I hope they dig it and hope I am still welcomed after they see them.
